Some random fotos!!

A trip such as this, one could keep on taking fotos in one's mobile. It would be great injustice if one does not use his/her mobile camera effectively.

However it is also impossible to share all such fotos as part of a blog. 

 So here are few fotos which I could not include as part of my blog, but those which I felt, should share for the benefit of those who have traveled with me and who would be able to identify with.

I have added a description where I am able to remember when & where these were taken. Those fotos without description - either I don't remember or it is too obvious to warrant an description...

Hotel VITS, when we took the stairs instead of elevator, came across this. Loved the concept, a reminder to the hotel staff to be on their best before meeting the hotel guests...

Don't exactly remember which temple this was, but the local guide pointed out the how new stone architecture was replaced in places where the old was beyond repair..

It was sometime in the beginning of November 2022 that my better half Geetha & myself came across this relatively unheard group - 50 Plus Voyagers. The reference of the group came from one of Geetha's colleague who had super annuated from her service sometime back. We checked the website of this 50 plus voyagers. Going by the website, this seemed to be a reasonably decent group which specializes in arranging group trip for people over 50 years of age. This was the message Sakshi had sent the previous night. Hi Everyone, We will check out with luggage from this hotel and after day tour of Temple City – Bhubaneswar, shall proceed to Puri – The abode of Lord Jagannath ! Here is plan for tomorrow (13 Dec) with 50+ Voyagers Travel and Adventure Club. 7:30 - 8:45 AM – Enjoy your breakfast. 08:00 AM- Leave luggage outside your respective rooms 8:45 AM – Assemble at lobby with luggage.Board bus and leave for Bhubaneshwar city tour. 9:15 AM -12:30 PM – Will reach Lingaraj temple and cover Rajarani, Mukteshwar, Parsurameshwar temples.  On Saturday evening (10 Dec 2022) we received a WA message from an unsaved number. The sender introduced herself as Sakshi, the tour manager. The message gave details of the driver who would pick us up from the airport, the itinerary for Sunday and certain general dos & donts. Our flight to Bhubaneshwar from Mumbai was scheduled for 1030 AM on Sunday 11 Dec 2022. The newspapers on Saturday showed huge lines in airport counters for check in. Playing it safe, we reached airport by 830 AM. To our surprise we had zero waiting time at luggage drop and security check. Our boarding gate was practically next to the security check. Having reached well in time, we roamed around in the airport. Enjoyed a coffee. Boarded the flight and had a long but comfortable journey to Bhubaneshwar. The chauffeur driven vehicle picked us from the airport & dropped us at the VITS hotel. Google maps showed the distance at around 5.5 kms & the driving time was around 10/12 minutes.
